The Sussex league have approved everything and we can now confirm that all the way from New Zealand, Karan Banker will be coming to join the 1st team this season! It's been 8 years since we last had an overseas player at the club and we look forward to welcoming the 29 year old batsman and offspinner.

A message from Karan:
Hey everyone! I am hugely honored to come to East Grinstead this summer and be a part of your club community! I have heard many good things about East Grinstead and Sussex in general. I am excited to meet all of you and getting to know you personally over the next 5-6 months.

A little bit about me....I come from a little place called New Zealand, where there are more sheep than humans. So coming to a big place like the UK is going to be different. But I am excited. Outside of cricket, I work as a Doctor at the hospital in Auckland which keeps me occupied. I also love traveling and I hope to see many of the European countries this summer while I am there!
