I very much hope that both you and your families are safe and well and that you all looking forward to a new season with the enthusiasm and excitement of what this will bring. I can assure you that the committee and I remain committed to create an environment that provides opportunity to all, togetherness and progress for all who take part.

Last season’s success with both our senior and junior teams built on the previous seasons work and despite economic uncertainty we were still able to provide an environment that included more 80 games and over 100 hours of coaching for our juniors. Many if you will know that we also took the unprecedented step of lowering membership fees for all during the 2021 season. We were conscious that as a club we did not want create another economic barrier for all who wanted to take part and I am pleased to say that membership prices are remaining the same for 2024.

However, in order to continue to deliver this we would like to ask for your support. The club relies heavily on its supporters and sponsors to help maintain our high-quality facilities as well as the standard of coaching and cricket played at Saint Hill, Fonthill and Hammerwood.

We appreciate that this request comes at a time when we are all unsure of what is ahead. However, with all sports these past few years have brought new challenges and expenses. As we try to break our costs down into manageable portions, one of which is the purchase of cricket balls for the season which currently costs the club well over £1,000.

If therefore in the past you have kindly supported us with a ball donation, we would again enormously appreciate your support in continuing with this. We have suggested a donation of £40 per ball as yet again the County purchases the balls on our behalf to ensure the standard of ball is consistent throughout Sussex.

Of course, any contribution, large or small that helps purchase the match balls for our six senior sides and eight junior teams would be very much appreciated.
